Universal Orlando license plate needs 3,000 sign-ups to benefit Give Kids the World
Universal Orlando license plates are available to Florida residents to benefit Give Kids the World — but the program needs 3,000 sign-ups first.

Fans of Universal Orlando Resort can sign up for a custom Florida license plate for their vehicle which proudly displays the Universal globe and a backdrop of stars in the night sky. Proceeds from the Universal Orlando license plate benefit Give Kids the World Village, an 89-acre nonprofit resort in Kissimmee, Fla. that hosts wish vacations at no cost for children with critical illnesses and their families.
Drivers with a Florida drivers license or registration are eligible for the Universal Orlando license plate. The plate costs $33 (+ administration fees), which will be charged again each year with the plate’s renewal.
For the time being, interested Florida residents can sign up for a voucher for the Universal Orlando license plate. Once 3,000 people sign up, the plate’s manufacturing will begin. Until then, there’s no guarantee the plate will come to fruition; if you’re thinking about it, you can help the cause by signing up.
See Universal Orlando’s website for more FAQs.
Almost 200,000 families from 77 countries have experience wish vacations at Give Kids the World Village since its opening in 1986. If you’re looking for other ways to support Give Kids the World this holiday season beyond the Universal license plate, the organization accepts donations and is hosting a handful of holiday events.
