The Universal Studios Hollywood holiday fan-favorite “Christmas in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter” returns to Hogsmeade Village, which will be decked in magical décor as guests enjoy special holiday performances from the Hogwarts acapella Frog Choir as well as the festive fare at Three Broomsticks – including, Hot Butterbeer of course.

When the sun goes down, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle” projection show will illuminate the iconic façade of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with holiday images accompanied by music from the Harry Potter movies.

The park’s “Grinchmas” Who-lebration is also back this year in Universal Plaza, complete with the nightly lighting of the 65-foot-tall “Grinchmas” tree accompanied by a SoCal snowfall and starring The Grinch, his dog Max, and the population of Who-ville.

All special holiday festivities at Universal Studios Hollywood will run from Nov. 26, 2021 – Jan. 2, 2022, and are included with theme park admission.

Universal Studios Hollywood Holiday - CityWalk

Inside the park isn’t the only place to find holiday cheer. At Universal CityWalk, a spectacular 40-foot-tall Christmas tree will feature more than 200,000 LED icicles choreographed to the sounds of the season. Plus, the 230 power jets of the entertainment district’s famous dancing water fountain will be illuminated by red and green LED lights as they “dance” to holiday music.

All guests ages 12+ must be prepared to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test taken within 72 hours of visit (self-tests are not acceptable). Face coverings are required at all times when visiting the theme park (both indoors and outdoors) regardless of vaccination status. At Universal CityWalk, face coverings are only required indoors.
