PHOTOS: Universal Studios Hollywood’s ‘Minion Run’ 5K jump-starts ‘Running Universal’ series
Universal Studios Hollywood’s brand new “Minion Run” 5K event has jump-started a brand new “Running Universal” series of fun runs.
The Minion-themed 5K was a two-day event that ran May 11-12. Guests who participated in the Minion Run got a rare inside perspective of the famous movie studio, with courses that took guests through sets from movies such as “War of the Worlds” and “Jaws”.
Once Guests crossed the finish line, they were greeted with a Minion-themed medal to award their accomplishment.
Many of the guests embraced the Minion themed event with open arms, as some ran in fun costumes and Minion-themed clothing.
The race began at the iconic Universal’s iconic front gates before taking guests throughout the park.
Once guests made their way into Universal’s City Walk, they were greeted at the finish line with a Minion-themed celebration!
There was music, dancing, and of course, the opportunity to take a selfie with the Minions.
Universal understood that their guests had just finished a 5K run, and happily supply bottled water to parched guests.
For those who were looking for something sweeter to fill their appetite, Voodoo Doughnut offered limited- edition Minion doughnuts to fulfill all cravings.
The next Running Universal event will be a Jurassic World-themed 5K and 1K on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019.
