Universal Studios Singapore celebrates ‘Tropical Thrills’
Put on your best island-style outfit and meet favorite DreamWorks characters during the Tropical Thrills celebration at Universal Studios Singapore, which started on March 11.
Universal Studios Singapore is celebrating all things “fun in the sun” with the totally Tropical Thrills celebration, as part of Resort World Sentosa’s resort-wide Frolic in the Tropics event. Dozens of DreamWorks friends are on hand, along with new characters, including the first-ever talking tiki, King Kahula.
There are seven special events and experiences happening at the Studios:
Aloha Talk with King Kahula
Walamak Island is the setting for a joke-filled visit with the fast-talking, music-loving tiki “King of fun” during interactive meet and greets.
Tiki Time with the Stars!
Characters from Illumination’s “Despicable Me,” and DreamWorks’ “Trolls” and “Madagascar” join King Kahula, tiki stilt-walkers, and hula characters, all dressed in tropical island outfits. Meet Gru and the Minions, trolls Branch and Poppy, and Madagascar’s Alex, Gloria, and King Julian, plus the brightest star of them all, “glitter troll” Guy Diamond, making his Universal Studios Singapore debut.
Meet and Greets
Additional characters celebrating Tropical Thrills include Shrek, Princess Fiona, Puss in Boots and Kitty Softpaws from DreamWorks’ “Shrek” franchise, and Sesame Street’s Cookie Monster, Elmo, Abby Cadabby, and Grover.
