Upcoming Special Event: World Wide Weekend at Disney

WDWCelebrations is a fan-run organization dedicated to celebrating milestones in Disney history as well as putting on special events for fans to enjoy.

Coming up from Friday, September 26 to Sunday, September 28, 2008, WDWCelebrations will be hosting what they’re calling the “World Wide Weekend”.

As with their past Disney fan events, Celebration 25 and A Wild Decade, the upcoming World Wide Weekend event will provide unique experiences, including group rides, group photos, and other special events designed to bring Disney fans together to celebrate and to enjoy each other’s company.

Friday’s events include group rides at the Magic Kingdom as well as group events at that night’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Saturday’s events are based at Epcot and include group rides as well as a Scavenger Hunt designed to allow participants to enjoy the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival while partaking in the fun. Sunday’s events are split between Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

There is also a special “Backstage Magic” add-on tour scheduled for Thursday, September 25.

Much of the World Wide Weekend is free to attend, but does require registration, which will close at midnight on Friday, September 19, 2008.

WDWCelebrations is a not-for-profit organization, created by Disney fans, dedicated to “celebrating the magic of the past, present, and future, together.” For more information, or to register for the World Wide Weekend event, visit https://www.wdwcelebrations.com.
