Waldorf Astoria Orlando is located within the 482-acre Bonnet Creek nature preserve and conveniently surrounded by Walt Disney World Theme Parks. This year’s re-imagination marks the property’s most extensive enhancement since its 2009 opening and will be completed in phases to minimize disruption to the guest experience.

The newly-announced property-wide redesign at Orlando’s leading luxury hotel will include rooms and suites, lobby space, select culinary outlets (including the award-winning restaurant Bull & Bear), the Waldorf Astoria spa, and the resort’s 18-hole golf course.

“We are delighted to announce our plans for the complete makeover of Waldorf Astoria Orlando,” said Waldorf Astoria Orlando General Manager Ryan Fitzgerald. “As a Waldorf Astoria hotel, our guests expect the best in luxury accommodations and world-class amenities, and we are committed to providing them with an exceptional experience that surpasses their expectations as soon as they walk through our doors.”

The multi-phase re-imagination of Waldorf Astoria Orlando includes:

Guest Rooms & Suites – Newly re-imagined guest rooms and suites will be inspired by the flora and fauna from the Bonnet Creek nature reserve. The design will feature a soft, contemporary color palette of taupe, linen, and shades of green to evoke the feeling of a garden, with artwork echoing the organic contours, shapes, and textures found in nature. Redesigned guest rooms and suites will also feature new custom mill work, wet bars and stocked mini-bars, custom guest bathroom vanities with natural stone tops, and motion-activated night lights. Guests will continue to enjoy Waldorf Astoria’s signature amenities, including exclusively-curated Aesop toiletries, Hilton’s Connected Room Technology, an in-room Nespresso coffee machine, and more.

Lobby Enhancement (April to June 2023) – The redesigned lobby will feature a bright and airy new look with marble detailing and a natural color palette, while keeping the original Waldorf Astoria brand clock as an iconic welcome.

Peacock Alley (June to August 2023) – Following the lobby’s completion, the lobby restaurant, Peacock Alley, will be transformed to complement enhancements to the updated space. During this time, guests can dine in Sir Harry’s, which will open as The Croissant Bar, for breakfast, lunch, and light bites. In addition, peacock Alley’s return will include the hotel’s beloved Royal Tea. Upon its return, the culinary team will also incorporate new items into this experience.

Waldorf Marketplace – Located adjacent to Peacock Alley, this brand-new multi-functional all-day space offers coffee, handmade baked goods, prepared foods, and an expert chocolate program.

Bull & Bear – Consistently ranked as one of the top eateries in Orlando, the award-winning Bull & Bear restaurant will be re-imagined into a fine dining destination with newly-refined dishes and a refreshed color palette inspired by the surrounding golf course. During the restaurant’s renovation, guests and locals may still enjoy the Bull & Bear experience at Oscar’s Brasserie, a new temporary indoor and outdoor space.

Waldorf Astoria Spa – The Waldorf Astoria Spa will be redesigned with relaxation at the forefront, including new Lemi Spa Dream tables ideal for unique couples treatments that will launch following the re-imagination.

Waldorf Astoria Golf Club – In 2022, Course Architect Rees Jones Inc. developed a new Master Plan for the golf course to include renovations and improvements to each hole, with all tees being rebuilt, playing corridors widened, green surfaces expanded to their original shape and size, and bunkers brought back to their dramatic windswept character. In addition, the 16th, 17th, and 18th holes will have undergone a complete redesign, bringing the golf course back to its original Par 72, 7000-yard layout. All restorations are expected to be completed by January 2024.
