Walt Disney animatronic revealed at Disneyland | Video + photos
Disneyland just revealed the first-ever Walt Disney animatronic, which guests can see as part of the new presentation “Walt Disney – A Magical Life.”

Attractions Magazine attended a preview presentation of the Walt Disney animatronic (see video below), the first-ever Audio-Animatronics figure created in his likeness. “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” officially debuts July 17, 2025, at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, Calif.

Upon opening, “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” will utilize a virtual queue, available for free via the Disneyland app daily, with drops at 7 a.m. and 12 p.m. Guests must obtain a spot in the virtual queue. There will be no standby line available.
Visitors can see the biographical presentation inside the Opera House on Main Street, U.S.A., the venue usually home to “Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln” (which is only temporarily out of commission; eventually, both Walt and Abe will rotate showtimes, sharing the space).

I was surprised that it doesn’t really look like Walt. His granddaughter is really disappointed in this.
Looks like Tom Hanks playing Walt Disney.
I am surprised that this image is approved. This does not really look like Walt Disney or sound like him either. They should really keep working on this. He seems rigid. Walt Disney always appeared relaxed on TV and in public.
I personally am very disappointed as to the lack of likeness to Walt Disney to the point that it offends me. The “Disney” Company has demonstrated that they no longer have oversite that supports the Company image and needs new leadership.
