Weather-or-Not: SeaWorld and Busch Gardens policy offers weather guarantee
With high temperatures and wet weather across the country, SeaWorld is offering parkgoers peace of mind with a new Weather-or-Not Assurance policy that covers a broader range of weather conditions than ever before.
Under the Weather-or-Not assurance, if extreme weather impacts a guest’s experience in the park or impacts their travel plans, the policy will allow them to return within 12 months at no charge. This applies to all SeaWorld Entertainment brands, including SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Sesame Place, Aquatica, and Discovery Cove.
“In introducing Weather-or-Not Assurance, we are proud to note this is the most generous inclement weather policy in the industry,” said SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment Chief Marketing and Communications Officer Marisa Thalberg. “When guests book and look forward to making memories in one of our parks, we want them to feel fully assured that if Mother Nature winds up having other plans that day – even if for as little as an hour – they will be able to come back another day, on us.”
SeaWorld’s new policy applies year-round and covers weather events in every season, including rain, lightning, extreme heat, wind, snow, hail, and more.
Weather-or-Not Assurance applies when:
- Inclement weather causes early closure
- Weather negatively impacts the park’s operating hours
- Temperatures reach a heat index of 110 degrees or above
- Rides are closed for 60 minutes or more due to the weather
Guests must be present in the park on the day of their ticket or fill out an online form with their original order number to be eligible for a return visit at no charge. Tickets must be used within 12 months of their originally-planned ticket. Guests can visit Guest Services in the park or complete the form online within one week of their visit to receive their Weather-or-Not Assurance ticket.
