Weeki Wachee Springs reopening with world-famous Mermaid Show returning

Guests will soon see the mermaids swimming once again at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park, as it’s set to reopen tomorrow, Thursday, March 18!

The park will be open to guests daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with the Mermaid Show and The Ranger Experience resuming operation. Limited seating for both will be in place, and assigned upon arrival when guests purchase tickets into the park. However, The Wilderness River Cruise is not yet operational.

Buccaneer Bay water park will also be open daily through March 21; from March 22 – May 29, the waterslides, kiddie pool, and lazy river will only be available to guests on weekends. The water park will then open full-time for the summer season on May 29. The swimming and beach areas will be open daily.

Guests are asked to wear masks and to maintain physical distancing of at least six feet.

  1. When will we be able to reserve seats for the mermaid show? We have a ways to come to see the show and with only 25% capacity, it is a gamble whether you will get in or not for the entertainment.
