Super Nintendo World now open at Universal Studios Japan
Wah-hoo! The first-ever themed land to the world of Super Mario, Super Nintendo World, is now officially open at Universal Studios Japan.
The land was originally set to welcome guests on Feb. 4 before being postponed and re-scheduled due to COVID-19. The immersive new land features two attractions—Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge and Yoshi’s Adventure. There’s also numerous interactive elements and games you can experience with a Power-Up Band, character encounters, hidden Pikmin to find, a themed restaurant named Kinopio’s Cafe (Kinopio is Toad’s name in Japan), retail shops, food kiosks, and more – all set against a Super Mario-inspired, kinetic backdrop.
