Westgate Resorts is giving 1,500 free vacations to military families.

On Nov. 10, Westgate Resorts will honor U.S. military personnel and their families by giving away 1,500 free vacations at Westgate Military Weekends in Orlando or Las Vegas.

Over the past seven years, Westgate Resorts has donated more than 20,000 free nights to veterans and their families. This year, the program is being further expanded to give military the choice of an weekend in either Orlando or Las Vegas. Starting at 9 a.m. EST on Friday, Nov. 10, eligible military personnel can sign up at WestgateSalutes.com for a free resort stay. The 1,500 free vacations are for current active duty military personnel who have served in combat and their families, as well as Gold Star families.

The first 1,500 eligible service members to complete the online military appreciation form and place a fully refundable $100 deposit can pick between either one of 1,400 complimentary four-day, three-night vacations for up to four people at Westgate Town Center Resort & Spa, May 3-6, 2018; or one of 100 three-day, two-night vacations for up to two people at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, Dec. 8-10, 2017.

The two Westgate Military Weekends include:

All attendees will receive complimentary accommodations in a villa, free admission to Westgate’s Ship Wreck Island water park, access to a military resource fair and a private concert from a surprise country artist. Last year’s concert featured Grammy Award-winning country music artist Lee Greenwood (God Bless the USA, Ring On Her Finger).

Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino will host 100 military couples on Dec. 8-10, 2017, and provide two complimentary tickets to a concert by Travis Tritt, country singer-songwriter and Grammy-award winning artist, performing at the resort Dec. 9.

Only one reservation per family; valid military I.D. required upon check-in. A credit card is required to book the reservation, and the $100 deposit is refundable if vacation is canceled at least seven days prior to stay. Additional guests, upgrades and additional nights may be added to Westgate Town Center Resort & Spa reservations as an upgrade. No resort fee will be charged, and no Resort Preview is required. “Our U.S. military and their families make a constant sacrifice. We hope to give those who have served in combat a chance to spend some quality time with their loved ones,” said Westgate Resorts CEO David Siegel. “Nothing can ever replace the family time that’s lost, but by creating these weekends for them, we’re trying to help make new memories and give these men and women the recognition they deserve.”
