Wet ‘n Wild Orlando will host its annual Waves of Glory event celebrating emerging artists in the Christian rock, gospel, punk and R &B genre this year on April 27, 2013. The event will feature a live concert performance by two-time Grammy nominated, Dove Award-winning artists Sanctus Real.
Wet ‘n Wild has turned up the volume to feature some great Christian music talent during its signature Battle of the Bands competition. After the winners have been announced, Sanctus Real will take the stage to perform tracks from their sixth studio album “Run”. It’s the follow-up to their 2010 Grammy nominated “Pieces of a Real Heart”, which featured their career-breaking hit “Lead Me.”
“We are always excited to play music in the theme park setting. Everyone is already having such a great time, putting on a rock show at the end of the day is like icing on the cake!” explained Mark Graalman, drummer for Sanctus Real. “We’re also very excited about the battle of the bands. We were an independent band for six years before signing with Sparrow Records and did a few BOTB’s in our day. It’ll be a blast seeing the up and coming talent!”
Waves of Glory celebrates fun, faith and fellowship and is a day packed with local and regional Christian talent along with national recording artists Sanctus Real. Guests can come together to share in a day of worship and praise while enjoying inspirational live performances, along with access to some of the most thrilling waterpark experiences.
