What's new at Cypress Gardens

Here’s a look at what’s upcoming at Cypress Gardens.

More Animals and Tour
The animal encounter area, Nature’s Way, will be given a new name and fresh look. More animal exhibits are being added. Also being added is a one-hour tour that will take guests behind the scenes of several of the animal areas and will include up-close encounters with reptiles, a lemur and other unique animals. The tour will initially be offered at $10 for park guests and $8 for Gold Passport members. Guests will also be able to purchase nectar for $1 to personally feed the colorful lorikeets and a tray of fish for $1 to feed a pelican

Latin Fest
Guests can look forward to celebrating Latin Fest May 5 to 11. Tito Nieves, Carlos Oliva, Ismael Miranda and other Latin style entertainment including mariachi bands and a traditional Spanish guitarist will be performing in the festival. Also, one lucky young lady will have the chance to win a Quinceañera celebration valued at $10,000.

Memorial Day Weekend
May 24-26 will be full of entertainment and activities. Lynyrd Skynyrd will take the concert stage at at 7:30 p.m.on Saturday, May 24. Guest can also enjoy Dixieland bands, a veteran’s memorial wreath ceremony, an Airforce flyover as well as free admission for active and retired military and their families on Sunday, May 25 and Monday, May 26.
Additional concerts scheduled for the year include: Randy Owen (June 14); Need to Breathe, Building 429 and Jars of Clay (June 28); and Billy Currington (Oct. 24).

Water Park
Splash Island water park will be open every day starting May 1. Admission is included with your park admission.

New Acrobats; Night Ski Show
Park visitors can catch a brand new Chinese acrobat show starting Memorial Day weekend. Also starting Memorial Day weekend and running through the summer will be a nighttime ski show.

Renovations
The park’s concert venue will be undergoing renovations for the next few months. These renovations include enhancing the sound system, improving the lighting throughout the venue and adding more seating for the guests.
An approximate $500,000 renovation on the Magnolia Mansion has also just been completed. Many more upgrades and changes are planned throughout the year and will be announced this summer.

Cypress Gardens is located in Winter Haven, four miles west of SR 27 on Cypress Gardens Boulevard.
Regular admission is $39.95, plus tax for ages 10-59, Children admission is $34.95 plus tax for ages 3-9 and Senior admission is $34.95, plus tax for 60+.
