Whispering Canyon Café launches brand-new skillet-packed menu

If you’re looking for some good eatin’ at Walt Disney World Resort, then you’ll definitely want to check out Whispering Canyon Café’s new menu at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge!

Now guests can dine on new signature skillets for lunch and dinner, as well as breakfast skillets starting March 26. While diners are chowing down, the rowdy townsfolk of Whispering Canyon will serve up plenty of their famous shenanigans throughout the café – and their raucous behavior isn’t going anywhere anytime soon!

The Signature Lunch Skillet is a hearty and filling lunch option, and comes with maple-chipotle BBQ slow-smoked pork ribs, barbecued pulled pork, and citrus-herb chicken.

For dinner, try the Traditional Dinner Skillet with oak-smoked mustard BBQ beef brisket, maple-chipotle BBQ pork ribs, slow-smoked pulled pork, and citrus-herb chicken. Guests can also pig out on The “Pig” Dinner Skillet with braised pork belly, maple-chipotle BBQ pork ribs, slow-smoked pulled pork, and mustard BBQ “piggy wings.” Both of these skillets come with western-style sausage.

Those who prefer seafood can try the Land and Sea Dinner Skillet, which comes with house-smoked salmon, citrus herb chicken, vegan sausage, and charred portabellas.

There is also a Vegan Dinner Skillet – which comes filled with maple-chipotle BBQ jackfruit, spicy vegan sausage, mustard-glazed beefless tips, and herb-brushed trick’n chick’n.

To make it even better, all of these all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets comes with a different assortment of sides that can include coleslaw, sautéed green beans, buttered corn, oven-roasted carrots, charred peppers, BBQ cauliflower, Yukon mashed potatoes. Diners can also indulge in freshly-baked cornbread served with honey butter alongside every dinner skillet.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth that needs satisfying, give the Apple Pie a try. This slice of heaven comes dusted with powdered sugar a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Thirsty cowboys and cowgirls will enjoy a selection of newly-themed cocktails like the Bourbon Cowboy, which comes garnished with apple slices. Selections of wines and draft beers will also be available.

Starting March 26, a range of breakfast skillets will become available. These include the Heritage Skillet, which comes with country potatoes, hickory-smoked bacon, and pork sausage links; the Carnivore Skillet, loaded with house-smoked ham, hickory-smoked bacon, pork sausage links, and oak-smoked beef brisket. All of these skillets also come with house-made buttermilk-cheddar biscuits, scrambled eggs, and Mickey waffles.

For those looking for a lighter morning meal, the Lighter Side Breakfast Skillet comes with Bircher Muesli (Swiss oatmeal), egg white spinach frittata, turkey bacon and turkey sausage, country potatoes, fresh fruit, yogurt, and even more Mickey waffles.
