White Castle in Orlando celebrates their first anniversary and National Slider Day
White Castle fast-food burger chain arrived in Orlando on May 3, 2021, and this May they’re celebrating their one-year anniversary and National Slider Day with giveaways and more.
Visitors to White Castle between May 3-7, 2022, will receive a collectible coffee mug featuring the franchise’s logo, while supplies last, in honor of the Orlando castle’s first anniversary.
Those who are members of Carver Nation will receive a free “eight-piece birthday cake on a stick,” between May 3-7, also while supplies last. Sign-up for Carver Nation membership is open to all.
Each of these offers is one redemption per customer.
White Castle has chosen Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida (SHFBCF) to be its “Round Up” promotional partner for the next two years. Visitors to the Orlando castle can “round up” their purchase total to any amount, with all proceeds going to SHFBCF.
Due to the popularity of the Orlando White Castle, the outlet is expanding to offer 24-hour service throughout summer 2022, and will begin a pick-up service near the main building, plus delivery with DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, and Postmates.
White Castle’s own “National Slider Day” is May 15, and on that date all visitors with a digital coupon will be given a free Cheese Slider, no purchase necessary. Digital coupons will be sent to subscribers’ email account and posted on White Castle’s social media outlets.
May is National Hamburger Month, and in recognition of the chain’s 35th birthday and 28 billion original and cheese burgers sold, White Castle is launching promotions to thank customers and team members.
“This is a memorable moment for White Castle, and what better time to celebrate than National Hamburger Month,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle. “We played an essential part in the introduction of the hamburger over 100 years ago. It’s rewarding to see our numbers climb, reinforcing our role in the enduring popularity of the hamburger.”
More than 250 of the company’s team members from the home office will once again work in castles and at White Castle’s food manufacturing plants for the first time since 2019, steam-grilling sliders, greeting customers, or helping make or package sliders on the production line.
“Our team members look forward to this day each year because it gives us all a chance to make some memorable moments with our colleagues and our customers,” Richardson added. “It’s all part of how we fulfill our vision to feed the souls of Craver generations everywhere.”
The Cravers Hall of Fame class of 2021 will be inducted on May 19, as 10 people selected from 250 entries join the exclusive club, which recognizes White Castles most loyal and passionate fans, known as Cravers. Each has described the ways in which the burger chain has “touched their lives and created lasting memories.” Induction will take place at the franchise’s Columbus, Ohio headquarters.
