White Castle fast-food hamburger chain has proven so popular in Orlando that the restaurant will now offer 24-hour service, online ordering, and pick-up and delivery service.
The franchise opened its Orlando location at The Village at O-Town West on May 3, 2021, and, right from the start, lines in the restaurant and for the drive-through were large enough to require a police presence to direct traffic.
The restaurant hasn’t been open for a full year yet, and is expected to serve nearly five million “Sliders” (the mini burgers the chain is known for) by its first anniversary date.
“We have so many loyal fans in Central Florida who were eagerly anticipating White Castle’s arrival, but the response this past year has far exceeded our expectations,” said White Castle Vice President Jamie Richardson. “Everyone in the Orlando area has been so warm and welcoming, and they have a ‘crave’ the size of the Sunshine State.”
The company is now expanding, and will keep the Orlando Castle open 24-hours a day during summer 2022. It is currently open for take-out, dine-in, and drive-through service daily from 7 a.m.-4 a.m.
Additionally, White Castle will launch online ordering with both pick-up and delivery service in a new setting located directly behind the Orlando Castle. Customers can pick up their order at the new satellite space, or they can opt for delivery through DoorDash, Uber Eats, Grubhub, or Postmates.
“Our vision at White Castle is to ‘feed the souls of craver generations everywhere,’ and our mission is to ‘create memorable moments every day,’” Richardson continued. “We have loved every minute meeting our new neighbors, whether long term cravers or new to the Castle.”
The Orlando Castle is the company’s largest free-standing White Castle in the world, and joins four sister restaurants in Miami which opened in the 1960s. There are currently more than 350 White Castle outlets across 13 states.
