With the Smokey Mountains as its backdrop, Dollywood once again presents its annual Flower & Food Festival, celebrating spring with elaborate floral installations that “translate nature into living art.”

Mosaiculture displays designed in partnership with Montreal-based Mosaicultures International include a peacock, a beekeeper tending to a bee hive, and a mallard duck, adding three whimsical floral decorations to the existing lineup of Dollywood’s signature butterfly umbrella, woodland animal friends, and Dolly’s mother crafting the Coat of Many Colors.

“Spring has always been so wonderful to me, because the flowers start growing, the sun shines for a little longer, and the birds start singing a new song,” said Dolly Parton. “When I was little and the weather started warming up, all us kids would gather on the porch in the afternoon and enjoy lemonade that Mama brough out for us. That’s springtime to me – getting to make memories with my family and taking in the beautiful colors everywhere.”

Among the festival’s highlights in 2022 are Dolly’s Butterfly Garden immersive experience, an exhibit which allows guests to interact with nature, and “Bloom!” a new live theatrical and acrobatic performance.

Craftsman’s Valley will play host to The Hall Sisters country pop music quartet, while “A Brighter Day” show returns to the Back Porch Theater, offering five performances per day.

The Umbrella Sky display casts comfortable shade along Showstreet when it returns to the festival, and photo ops can be found at Hillside Carpet Display in Rivertown Junction, plus at Dolly’s Butterfly Garden and chalk art portraits in Adventures in Imagination.

During the festival, guests can discover new food items such as a Cuban sandwich with mojo sauce, Reuben spring roll, chicken and andouille skillet, beef bulgogi nachos, seafood mac and cheese, berry and honey funnel cakes, and hand-decorated flower-themed cookies and cupcakes.

Five-sample Tasting Passes are available in the park or online for $34.99 (plus tax), or $31.99 plus tax for gold and diamond passholders.

Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa also features festive décor and floral accents during the festival, while mocktails and cocktails will be served daily at The Lounge. Song & Hearth: A Southern Eatery will serve festival-inspired cuisine, and there will be live entertainment in the lobby. A Winemaker’s Dinner will be offered on May 21.

Camp DW will host festival-themed activities.

“I hope that when families come to Dollywood during our festival they get those same feelings of joy,” Dolly continued. “This year, our guests can take a walk in my special butterfly garden, and even see my Mama making my ‘coat of many colors.’ I think the festival will continue to bloom even bigger and brighter right here in these beautiful mountains.”
