Wild Adventures teases new restaurant and entertainment space, animal exhibits and more for 2022
Wild Adventures Theme Park is about to have an exciting 2022. This week, the Valdosta, Ga. theme park announced a slate of new attractions and events arriving next year, including expanded festivals and nighttime events, new animal exhibits, a new restaurant and a partnership with Georgia Beer Company.

“These additions reflect our desire to create new and exciting experiences for our guests and our commitment to growth as we continue to establish Wild Adventures as the premiere entertainment destination for families in our region,” said Vice President and General Manager Jon Vigue.
The partnership with Georgia Beer Company comes with the new Water’s Edge Brews & Bites — billed as a restaurant and entertainment venue with local beer, wine and gourmet pretzels to enjoy in shaded spaces around the lake at the center of the park.

Vigue said guests had been asking for an entertainment space like this “for a long time.” Concept art shared by Wild Adventures shows clusters of shaded outdoor seating areas filled with bar tops and various lounge and bar seating along with several spaces for cornhole games. To keep the space family-friendly, guests will not be allowed to take drinks outside of the designated areas of the venue.
“All of us at Georgia’s southernmost brewery are extremely excited about the forthcoming partnership; what is means for Valdosta-Lowndes County, and what is means for the future of tourism and quality of life in our community,” said Chris Jones of Georgia Beer Company.
As for new animal attractions at the park, Wild Adventures is set to debut the largest new animal habitat it’s opened in more than a decade. Dubbed the Wanyama Overlook, the habitat will feature animals native to Africa and Asia, including giraffes, zebras, water buffalo, wildebeests and more.
The overlook area will also have an area created to serve as a catering and private event space along with more shaded areas to relax and enjoy the animals.
When Wild Adventures opens for the 2022 season, there will also be a new spring festival called Shamrock the Park, which will run March 19 – April 3.
The festival is set to feature a scavenger hunt for kids, a festival parade, special Irish food at the park’s restaurants and live music throughout.
Pounce & Crunch’s Easter Eggstravaganza, is also returning in 2022, but it’ll be an expanded event over two weekends – making it one of the largest Easter celebrations in the region.
The Eggstravaganza will include a new Easter Parade and activities as well as a hunt for more than 100,000 candy-filled eggs around the park.
Other returning and expanded events for 2022 include the All-Star Summer Concert Series with plans for more than a dozen artists, and Sweet Summer Nights, which will keep the park open late every Friday night in June and July.
Sweet Summer Nights in 2022 will feature live music around the park’s lake, a dance part in the Splash Island Waterpark and a new lighting package to brighten the park and let guests observe some of the nocturnal animals. There will also be fireworks every Friday night in July.
Wild Adventures plans to be open more days in 2022 with the park opening for the season on March 18, 2022. Splash Island Waterpark is set to open on April 2, 2022. The park is expected to be open and operational on all weekdays in June and July next year.
2022 Season Passes to Wild Adventures are now available starting at $9 a month for a bronze pass, $11 a month for silver and $13 a month for gold. The gold pass has new perks for the 2022 season, including free soda all year with the park’s insulate souvenir cup, two additional guest tickets to bring a friend, access to three Extended Ride Time Days and admission to the Premiere Passholder Party (date to be announced).
