Wonder Woman statue makes her debut at Warner Bros. in Burbank, California
As part of an ongoing partnership between DC Comics, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Visit Burbank, another super hero statue was recently revealed for locals and visitors to enjoy. The seven-and-a-half foot tall bronze Wonder Woman statue stands as a Warrior for Peace at the entrance to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood in Burbank, California.
In 2020, the first of these super hero statues depicted Batman and was placed in Downtown Burbank near an AMC movie theater. This new Wonder Woman statue is the second to be revealed. During the unveiling ceremony it was hinted at that we can expect more super hero statues to appear in Burbank, and that the next one would be “super.” Man of Steel fans can get excited, but no future unveiling dates have been announced.
The Wonder Woman statue unveiling ceremony was attended by local government and business luminaries including Burbank Mayor Konstantine Anthony, Pam Lifford, President, Global Brands, Franchises and Experiences, Jim Lee, DC Chief Creative Office and Publisher, and “Wonder Woman 1984” Director Patty Jenkins.
“Wonder Woman is one of the world’s most beloved and iconic DC Super Heroes of all time — A Champion of Truth, Justice and Warrior for Peace,” said Pam Lifford, President, Global Brands, Franchises and Experiences. “As we kick off the Warner Bros. 100th Anniversary – Sharing Every Story, Wonder Woman is part of this company’s story and legacy. Not only is she a prominent fixture of the Studio Tour, she will now be a permanent fixture as our story continues for the next 100 years.”
The Wonder Woman statues weighs over 600 pounds and is based on a design by acclaimed artist Jenny Frizon. It was crafted by Burbank’s American Fine Arts Foundry and Fabrication. You can take your photo with the statue 24 hours a day as it’s located outside of the studio and tour gates.
When you make a visit to see the Wonder Woman statue, you can also head inside the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood lobby. There are often other movie and television displays that can be seen, like the current display from “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” pictured above. These displays along with a unique shopping experience and Starbucks are all accessible without purchasing a tour ticket. If you are in the mood for a tour, tickets can be purchased onsite.
