Artist Showcase

During this showcase, you can admire the styles and techniques of both veteran artists and newcomers – and even get them to sign your favorite piece!

Guests can meet Stephanie Buscema, Sam Carter, Danny Heller, Leilani Joy and Ann Shen on Sept. 7 from 2-4 p.m.

Artist in Residence: David Lozeau

Lozeau is a figurative painter whose art depicts skeleton musicians, deep-sea creatures, motorsports, adorable animals and men of the Wild West, covering a vast array of genres. His work can be found in dozens of galleries on three continents and he has won many awards at fine art exhibitions.

Lozeau layers acrylics, gouache, and enamel to create unique, vibrant paintings. His Lowbrow art pays homage to everything from Greek mythology to the hot rod scene. His nautical works feature steampunk divers, tiki influences and underwater robots. Lozeau grew up in rural New Hampshire and earned a degree in graphic art before heading to Southern California and pursuing art.

Guests can meet Lozeau during his appearances on Sept. 6-7, 13-14, 20-21, and 27-28 from 5-10 p.m.

Featured Artisan of the Month: Leilani Joy

A Northern California native, Joy earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco. Her work has been showcased in many publications, product lines and gallery shows around the world.

For the WonderGround Gallery, Joy takes classic Disney characters and gives them her own unique spin. Her work is primarily influenced by Japanese manga and animation, folklore and pop surrealism. Her work is brought to life through color, graphic shapes, and materials like acrylic, watercolor, ink and 3D collage.

Joy will appear on Sept. 7 from 2-4 p.m, Sept. 8 and 28-29 from 1-4 p.m.
