American Dream will open its next offering on March 19, 2020 — the world’s first and only DreamWorks Animation Water Park.
UPDATE – 03/13/20: American Dream will be closing due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic on Monday, March 16. The mall is anticipated to be closed through the end of the month.
The grand opening of the DreamWorks Animation Water Park has been postponed, and information about a new date will be shared soon.
“We can’t wait for guests to visit DreamWorks Animation Water Park and experience the completely unique, jaw-dropping and awe-inspiring destination that we have created,” said Don Ghermezian, co-CEO of American Dream. “We also look forward to welcoming a new audience to the property with the introduction of retail, opening some of the largest flagship stores globally.”
Guests will be able to swirl through the swamp on Shrek’s Sinkhole Slammer; find their inner champion at Kung Fu Panda’s Temple of Awesomeness; hang ten in the world’s largest indoor wave pool, Far Far a Bay, inspired by Shrek’s magical kingdom. Riders can also challenge the waves on one of two themed “Surf’s Up” Surf Riders, meet DreamWorks Animation friends on the Bubbly Lazy River, and discover a secret operation at the Penguins of Madagascar Play Zone.
Guests will be able to play at the DreamWorks Animation Water Park 365 days a year at American Dream.
