Yas Island theme parks celebrate Chinese New Year on Feb. 1-20

Guests at Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, and Yas Waterworld will welcome the Year of the Pig with traditional festivities and food when the theme parks of Yas Island in Abu Dhabi celebrate Chinese New Year starting Feb. 1, 2019.

This Chinese New Year, Yas Island’s theme parks are offering a line-up of interactive activities and immersive experiences from Feb. 1-20 for guests at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Yas Waterworld, and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is presenting a variety of performances straight from China, including an acrobatic show from Hao Yun, and a Qingdian circus celebration. Kids can design their own Chinese arts and crafts, join Khalil’s Kung Fu Academy, and take part in different entertainment experiences.

At Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera characters including Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Tweety and Scooby-Doo, as well as and DC Super Heroes such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman will join the Chinese New Year celebration. Warner Bros. Plaza, which will be lit up with festive decorations, will host a meet and greet Bugs Bunny alongside Nian the Dragon. The park’s shops will offer holiday family photo opportunities, and the Hall of Doom will serve Asian cuisine.

Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, which features over 40 rides, slides and attractions, will host a plethora of New Year’s activities. Guests will have the chance to take part in noodle making demonstrations, enjoy an authentic Chinese beach buffet, purchase seasonal souvenirs, and enjoy family-friendly activities including Pearl Diving experience and beach games.
