Yoshi’s Adventure ride re-opens tomorrow after months of closures at Super Nintendo World

Super Nintendo World, the incredible new theme park land at Universal Studios Japan, officially opened in 2021 to rave reviews. The land, along with its signature attractions, shops and character meet and greets, are claimed to be some of the best work that Universal Creative has ever done. Unfortunately, one of the main offerings, Yoshi’s Adventure, closed unexpectedly in November of 2021 and has not yet re-opened.

Now, as confirmed by Universal Studios Japan, this family-friendly attraction will re-open to visitors of Super Nintendo World tomorrow, Jan. 15, 2022. On this attraction, guests will climb atop Yoshi’s back and follow Captain Toad on a treasure hunting adventure. But Captain Toad has forgotten his treasure map, and guests will need to find the three colored eggs that lead the way to the Golden Egg that Captain Toad is seeking. Guests will encounter a view of the Mushroom Kingdom from Mount Beanpole while having fun on this ride that’s perfect for the whole family.

“‘Super Nintendo World’ will resume tomorrow, November 25th. ※ Yoshi’s Adventure will be suspended.

The ride is expected to re-open just as it was before. If there are changes, they are expected to be unseen ones, related to safety or maintenance concerns. Super Nintendo World was given a difficult opening window, with the major early spikes of COVID-19 happening during construction. Secondary waves of the pandemic caused the grand opening to get delayed.

Nevertheless, Universal was about to present a world-class new theme park land that is expanding to Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal’s Epic Universe in Florida. To learn more about the currently open land in Universal Studios Japan, click here.
