New Pixar Pier-themed plane unveiled by Alaska Airlines
Woody, Buzz and all their Pixar pals have taken to the skies in the new special-edition plane from Alaska Airlines named “Friendship and Beyond at Disneyland Resort.”

This Alaska Airlines plane is a fun and whimsical tribute to Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure park. This is the sixth painted plane for the Disneyland Resort. It took more than 2,800 work hours over a period of 24 days – and 50 gallons of paint – to repaint the exterior of the plane.

The inaugural flight of the Pixar Pier-themed plane took place on Monday, Oct. 7, departing from Seattle for a stop in San Francisco for a gate ceremony, and then continuing on to its arrival in Orange County, Calif.
