All the cameos you might have missed in ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’

The final installment in the Skywalker saga, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,” features a few familiar faces (and voices) from all across the galaxy you may recognize.

Before we get into the list of cameos and special appearances, consider this your warning – spoilers are ahead!


Here are a few appearances you might have missed in “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker“:

J.J. Abrams as the voice of adorable droid D-0

Composer John Williams as bartender Oma Tres


wicket

Warwick Davis and son Harrison Davis as Wicket W. Warrick and Pommet Warrick

Colonel Aftab Ackbar, portrayed by Tom Wilton and voiced by screenwriter Chris Terrio, who is the son of Admiral Ackbar


wedge antilles

Denis Lawson as Wedge Antilles, veteran of Rogue Squadron (if you’ve read “Star Wars: Resistance Reborn,” or the “Star Wars: Aftermath” series you’ll also know he’s Snap Wexley’s stepfather)

Lin-Manuel Miranda as a member of the Resistance

At the film’s climax, we get a slew of appearances from “Star Wars” past through the voices of the Jedi who came before Rey. These voices include:

  • Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker
  • Olivia d’Abo as Luminara Unduli
  • Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano
    (It’s interesting to note that we didn’t know Ahsoka Tano had died)
  • Jennifer Hale as Aayla Secura
  • Samuel L. Jackson as Mace Windu
  • Ewan McGregor and Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan Kenobi
  • Frank Oz as Yoda
  • Angelique Perrin as Adi Gallia
  • Freddie Prinze Jr. as Kanan Jarrus
  • Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jin

    Anthony Daniels as the random pilot or gunner that appears after destroying the supreme destroyer?

      Yes! I immediately caught that and whispered it to my girlfriend. Actually, I think I said, “That was C3-PO” as she’s not a big enough fan to have known the name Anthony Daniels. I thought that little cameo was brilliant.

          Sorry, that wasn’t Anthony Daniels. It was Denis Lawson, the actor for Wedge Antilles. They do look alike though

    Pretty sure that was Dennis Lawson. They look pretty similar.

    I saw the Ghost somewhere in the final battle. It was on the screen with two or three other ships and pulled up to the left. I think it was shortly after Palatine’s lightning blast.
