AREA15 opens 200-foot Eye Dropper thrill ride near Universal Horror Unleashed
AREA15 has unveiled Eye Dropper, a new 200-foot-tall drop tower that adds another major attraction to the rapidly expanding entertainment district surrounding Universal Horror Unleashed in Las Vegas.

The attraction officially debuted on June 20 during a district-wide block party at AREA15, where guests received free rides and celebrated alongside local performers, sports mascots and special guests. The opening marks the latest addition to AREA15’s growing lineup of immersive experiences as the destination continues expanding beyond its original footprint.
Eye Dropper is now open at AREA15
Eye Dropper reimagines the traditional drop tower experience with lighting effects and psychedelic-inspired visuals. The ride features both Space Shot and Turbo Drop sequences, allowing riders to experience launches, freefalls or a combination of both during a single ride cycle.
According to AREA15, the attraction reaches speeds of up to 36 mph and delivers forces ranging from 4 Gs to moments of weightlessness. A custom LED “digital eye” crowns the attraction, creating a visual beacon that can be seen from across Las Vegas.

The experience begins before riders leave the ground, with a queue featuring pulsing lights, immersive audio and surreal design elements intended to build anticipation before the launch.
AREA15 continues expansion alongside Universal Horror Unleashed
Eye Dropper is one of several recent additions to AREA15’s Zone 2 expansion, an area anchored by Universal Horror Unleashed, Universal Destinations & Experiences’ year-round horror attraction. The expansion has also welcomed the flagship location of Dolls Kill and will soon add the largest Museum of Ice Cream location to date, along with new dining and retail offerings.
Additional projects in development include a transformed Boeing 747 that will serve as a private event and lounge venue, further expanding the district’s collection of immersive entertainment experiences.

AREA15 says visitation has increased by double-digit percentages compared with the same period last year as the destination continues to add new attractions and experiences for Las Vegas visitors.
