At Disney’s new ‘Aristocats’ lounge, you’ll sip alcohol from a bowl

“Aristocats” Lounge on the Disney Treasure

Scat Cat Lounge, an adult area on the Disney Treasure cruise ship, will celebrate the 1970 Disney animated film “The Aristocats.” The establishment is named after Scat Cat, the jazz-loving feline who performs the song “Ev’rybody Wants to be a Cat” in the movie.

The ambience of Scat Cat Lounge will include live music played on a baby grand piano (which will be covered in paw prints).

Scat Cat Lounge Menu Items

If you’ve ever visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, enjoyed a cup of Butterbeer, and thought to yourself, “I sure wish Disney would create a themed drink like this from the cinematic world of ‘The Aristocats,’ maybe like Créme de la Créme a là Edgar,” then today is your lucky day. Inspired by Créme de la Créme à la Edgar — an evening drink of milk enjoyed by the kittens in “The Aristocats” — Scat Cat Lounge will serve Créme de la Créme Martini, a dessert cocktail with cognac and chocolate. Just like the cats, you’ll sip it from a ceramic bowl.

Meanwhile, the Cat Drink — with bourbon, amaro, Aperol, and a lemon — will be served in a cat-embossed glass.

Scat Cat Lounge will be located adjacent to the Disney Treasure’s Grand Hall, the design of which will be inspired by Agrabah from “Aladdin.” As such, the aesthetic and menu of Scat Cat Lounge will contain touches of “Aladdin” in addition to “The Aristocats.” This includes the Turkish Tea Experience, a tea cocktail served in a teapot and meant for sharing in gold cups.

Incidentally, Scat Cat Lounge on the Disney Treasure ship is not to be confused with the similarly named Scat Cat’s Club, a long-operating lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter at Walt Disney World.

Lounges on Lounges

Other lounges onboard the Disney Treasure will include the Haunted Mansion Parlor, Skipper Society (inspired by Jungle Cruise), Periscope Pub (inspired by “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea”), and The Rose (inspired by “Beauty and the Beast,” and also previously featured on the Disney Wish cruise ship).

Last fall, we attended a panel where Imagineers shared insight about the development of the Disney Treasure. We filmed the panel so you can hear all about the design process of these lounges and more areas of the ship:
