Art the Clown takes over Universal Studios Hollywood’s Terror Tram for HHN 2026
Art the Clown is extending his reign of terror at Universal Studios Hollywood, with a Christmas-themed Terror Tram concept revealed for Halloween Horror Nights 2026.
During Universal Studios Hollywood’s presentation at Midsummer Scream on Aug. 9, the park revealed the concept “Every Day is Artmas!” for this year’s Terror Tram. Images shown during the presentation depict a twisted holiday story centered on the “Terrifier” villain.

The presentation plays with children’s Christmas-book imagery, including pages declaring “Art the Clown LOVES Christmas!” and “Art is too early for Christmas!” Another image shows two very different expressions from Art under the words, “This makes Art SAD! This makes Art MAD!”
A scary Artmas is coming to the Terror Tram
Concept art also revealed a section identified as Zone 1: “Scary Artmas,” featuring Art the Clown, along with a look at the zone’s portal design.
The Christmas nightmare will continue through multiple Terror Tram zones. Concept art revealed Zone 4, “Hollywood Sign,” with Art amid a holiday-horror transformation of the famous sign. Later, Zone 6, “Santa Art is Coming to Town,” brings the Little Pale Girl into the story, with Universal’s presentation describing the scene as “Art and Little Pale Girl Shoot Down Santa’s Sleigh.”
The Terror Tram is a signature part of Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood that takes guests onto portions of Universal’s studio backlot. Universal’s website previously teased that the attraction would take a “disturbing new turn” in 2026 but had not yet published details about its theme.

The twisted holiday atmosphere will extend to the Terror Tram’s soundtrack. Music from Ice Nine Kills will be featured, including the band’s takes on “Carol of the Bells,” “O Christmas Tree” and more.
Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood runs on select nights from Sept. 3 through Nov. 1, 2026 and is a separately ticketed event.
Art the Clown is also coming to HHN Orlando
Art’s presence at Halloween Horror Nights won’t be limited to Hollywood in 2026. At Universal Orlando Resort’s Halloween Horror Nights 2026, Art the Clown will appear in Downtown Clowntown, a new scare zone that also features the Killer Klowns from Outer Space and other creepy clowns.
As the park nears completion for this year’s event preparations, many fans are speculating that this “Santa” scene in the Downtown Clowntown scare zone area is for Art.
