Avatar and Dora the Explorer rides coming to Nickelodeon Universe
New family-friendly attractions themed to “Avatar the Last Airbender” and “Dora the Explorer” will debut at Nickelodeon Universe in the Mall of America within the next year.
Nickelodeon Universe features nearly 30 rides and attractions themed to characters from beloved Nickelodeon franchises, including “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “PAW Patrol,”and more.
Swing with Boots and Fly with Appa
This fall, construction will begin on two new fun-filled rides featuring Boots from “Dora the Explorer” and Appa from “Avatar: The Last Airbender.”
Guests will monkey around with Dora’s pal Boots this holiday season as they fly through the rainforest treetops on Boots’ Banana Swing. In Spring 2024, riders can climb aboard a sky bison for the Fly with Appa ride, taking to the skies while traveling up, down, and all around.

In addition to the two new rides, Bubble Guppies Guppy Bubbler will be moving to a new location in the park. The ride will be temporarily closed when construction begins on the new attractions but will reopen in time for the holiday season.
