Avengers: Power the Night drone show to light up the night at Disneyland Paris

Starting Jan. 28, the new Avengers: Power the Night drone show will run at the Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris. This nighttime spectacular will light up the sky nightly through May 8, 2023.

This show becomes the first Marvel drone show performed daily in any Disney theme park. For Disneyland Paris, this drone show is the grand finale of the resort’s 30th Anniversary. This nighttime show will combine music, pyrotechnic effects, lights, video projections, and drones. Disney says that up to 500 drones will form a series of symbols during the show. These iconic symbols will represent Marvel superheroes such as Captain America, Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, and Shang-Chi.

This new drone show continues the collaboration between Disneyland Paris and Dronisos. The Bordeaux-based company, Dronisos, serves as the official technology provider for the resort. This collaboration enabled the resort’s 30th Anniversary nighttime drone show, Disney D-Light to happen. That drone show has run every night since March 6, 2022. Disney D-Light earned honors by being named “Best Live Entertainment 2022” during the Park World Excellence Awards Ceremony held in London in September 2022.

Disneyland Paris cast members, from show directors, special effect designers, and lighting and motion designers, combined their abilities to develop this upcoming drone show. As a result, the soundtrack, of mostly iconic Marvel scores, received a special re-orchestration. A full symphony orchestra composed this new soundtrack at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London.

This new Marvel drone show will involve more than just music and drones. The laser projectors for this show boast energy-efficient technology while delivering high-quality images. These projections will appear on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror attraction facade. Avengers: Power the Night will showcase Doctor Strange, Hulk, and Captain America.
