Baskin-Robbins is turning the clock back to summer 1985, as it brings Scoops Ahoy, the ice cream shop from “Stranger Things 3,” to life.
The Burbank, Calif. Baskin-Robbins store will be transported into the Starcourt Mall, where the store will be re-created as the Scoops Ahoy ice cream shop, exactly the same as the kids of Hawkins, Ind. would have experienced it over 30 years ago. From the staff uniforms to the shop’s nautical décor, no detail will be left out. Scoops Ahoy will be open to fans from Tuesday, July 2 through Sunday, July 14.
If you’re not in Burbank, however, you can still celebrate “Stranger Things 3” with Baskin-Robbins in-store events happening across the country throughout July:
- Flavor of the Month – USS Butterscotch: Inspired by the Scoops Ahoy shop in the Starcourt Mall, the July Flavor of the Month is a butterscotch-flavored ice cream with butterscotch pieces and a toffee-flavored ribbon. This flavor will also come in pre-packed quarts.
- USS Butterscotch Sundae: Guests can let their tastebuds set sail with this nautical-themed three-scoop sundae from the show, topped with waffle sails.
- Exclusive in-store experiences: One of these includes a Scoops Ahoy photo-op to share your “Stranger Things” fandom on social media.
- Guests can still get their hands on the Upside Down and Demogorgon Sundaes, the Byers’ House Lights Polar Pizza ice Cream Treat, the Elevenade Freeze, or take home quarts of their favorite flavors in limited edition Stranger Things containers.
Fans of the show in Los Angeles can also try the July Flavor of the Month, which will be served during the first week of the month at select locations – including the Scoops Ahoy store in Burbank on July 2 from 2-5 p.m.
