The Beak and Barrel | Inside new Pirates of the Caribbean bar at Magic Kingdom
The Beak and Barrel is a new bar at Magic Kingdom themed to Pirates of the Caribbean filled with interactive props and a piratey drink menu; take a look inside.

The Beak and Barrel officially opens Aug. 29, 2025, and Disney invited us for a sneak peek inside on Aug. 22.

Is Beak and Barrel a bar or a restaurant?
Though we’ve seen the word “restaurant” used to describe The Beak and Barrel, this is more like a family-friendly bar. There are only two food options and two mocktails. The rest of the menu is comprised of alcoholic drinks. Think of Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and you’re on the right track for what kind of dining experience to expect here.
Unlike the recently opened adults-only GEO-82 at Epcot, there’s no age requirement for The Beak & Barrel. (Elsewhere in Walt Disney World, Jock Lindsey’s Halloween Bar just debuted as a seasonal overlay with a new menu and décor over at Disney Springs.)

Where is The Beak and Barrel?
The Beak and Barrel is located directly next to Pirates of the Caribbean in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. It takes up space previously occupied by The Pirates League salon, as well as a former portion of the Pirates ride queue.
Décor & special props
There are about two hours of audio & visual programming among all the various interactive elements.
The parrot (whose name is Rummy) comes out every 15 minutes or so. Every time he goes back in, he says, “Drink up me, hearties!” and the waitstaff all yells “Yo ho!” with him.

A version of the parrot previously stood outside of the entrance to Pirates of the Caribbean (and later at Disney Springs).

On the wall is Captain Jack Sparrow’s “Pirate Oath”:
Ye pledge…
To be a true and honest pirate.
To be trusted not to be trusted.
To run from any fight ye cannot win.
To win and fight ye cannot run from.
To plunder treasure with a hearty laugh.
To swab the deck with a hearty hand.
To seek freedom with a hearty heart.
To discourage the spurious & frivolous use of the word “parlay” in situations of conflict.
Above all, to sing “Yo Ho” in a hearty voice.
Ye are now an official pirate!
Welcome aboard, ye scallywag!
Captain Jack Sparrow

As expected from modern-day Imagineering, lots of props and narrative-driven visual details line the walls, shelves, and ceilings. Many of the props came straight from the set of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movies.
