‘Beauty & the Beast’ pop-up cocktail adventure is coming to Orlando

Fans of the “Beauty & the Beast” fairytale written by French author Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont can immerse in the story during a 90-minute escape room-style adventure at Orlando’s The Oliv Bar, from November 30, 2022-February 22, 2023.

This isn’t the story of the beauty who tames a beast as presented by Disney. Instead, it’s a theatrical “cocktail adventure” that allows guests to step into the enchanted (and cursed!) castle to dance, create and sample two themed cocktails, enjoy a few nibbles…and try to find a way out.

Part show, part escape room, guests will solve riddles and challenges that will help them lift the curse that has been cast upon the castle while immersing in the story that unfolds around them.

The setting is one of Victorian elegance, and guests are encouraged to dress up, but not required to do so.

Presented by Viral Ventures & Hidden, the team that also created experiences such as The Wizard’s Den, Beyond Cinema, and The Alice, this pop-up takes place at The Oliv Bar in downtown Orlando, and is open to aged 21 and up, with the exception of specific family-friendly sessions.

Take note, those who arrive 20 minutes late will not be granted admission and will have to reschedule, so as not to disrupt the performance.

Tickets are $47 per person and are non-refundable, though they can be transferred to other dates and times, depending on availability. There is a sliding scale for modifications:

  • $10 per person for changes made at least 7 days in advance
  • $15 per person for changes made more than 48 hours in advance
  • $20 per person for changes made less than 48 hours in advance
