Bluey roller coaster details revealed
The first-ever “Bluey” roller coaster will open in spring 2026 at Alton Towers Resort in the U.K., in the park’s CBeebies Land.

The coaster will be called “Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies”
This junior coaster features Bluey and Bingo dressed as Janet and Rita, affectionately known as the Grannies. The “Grannies” are up to their mischievous ways in Bluey’s backyard. This junior coaster will take guests over gentle dips, around turns, and through colorful trees and flowers. It will also have some playful surprises.

Before experiencing the hijinks the Grannies have created, guests can have fun in the queue. The queue for Bluey the Ride: Here Come the Grannies will feature Bluey’s house, opportunities for selfies, and other fun play activities.

Bianca Sammut, VP at Alton Towers Resort, said, “I’m excited to finally announce our new ‘Bluey’ coaster in CBeebies Land — the first ‘Bluey’ coaster in the world. We can’t wait to welcome ‘Bluey fans and young families from all over the world to the resort. We’re keeping the exact details and launch date under wraps for now, but Bluey’s limitless energy is sure to be reflected in our new junior coaster.”
Bluey fans can expect even more than a coaster
In addition to the upcoming roller coaster, “Bluey” fans can already experience meet & greets at Alton Towers with Bluey and her family: Mom, Dad, and Bingo! Additionally, fans can enjoy the “Big Fun Showtime,” a live stage show featuring characters from the show. The ultimate fans can then relax and stay in a themed suite.

The hotel rooms are located in the award-winning CBeebies Land Hotel. Any fan, young or old, will recognize the hotel rooms, as they’re meant to bring the bedrooms of Bluey and her sister Bingo, to life. The hotel opened in 2024, so guests can book today.
Who is Bluey?
For those unfamiliar with the now very famous blue dog, “Bluey” is an animated series produced by BBC Studios and HVK Productions. It’s about Bluey, her sister Bingo, their parents, friends, and family. It’s one of those shows the kids put on, and the parents get sucked in too. You can watch it today on Disney+. (Bluey will also make appearances at Disneyland and Walt Disney World later this year.)
