All 8 ‘Harry Potter’ movies returning to theaters in 2026
“Harry Potter” movies — all eight of them — will return to theaters nationwide to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise.

‘Harry Potter’ movies back in theaters
Accio movie marathon! The entire series of Warner Bros. “Harry Potter” movies is returning to movie theaters globally from Aug. 27 – Sept. 3, 2026.
The engagement commemorates the 25th anniversary of the first film in the series, which originally debuted in theaters on Nov. 16, 2001. In fact, that movie, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” will screen with 10 minutes of extra behind-the-scenes footage during its 2026 movie theater re-release.

Warner Bros. has not specified how the screenings will be scheduled. We don’t yet know if each film will be assigned to a certain day within Aug. 27 – Sept. 3, or if local theaters will schedule any (or all) of the eight films at will for the entire duration of that period.

The marathon dates align with Sept. 1, or “Back to Hogwarts” Day, annually recognized by Warner Bros. with various promotions and activations as the date Hogwarts students return to school each year.

If you need a refresher, here are all eight “Harry Potter” films in order:
- “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (2001)
- “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” (2002)
- “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” (2004)
- “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” (2005)
- “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” (2007)
- “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” (2009)
- “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” (2010)
- “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” (2011)
