All 8 ‘Harry Potter’ movies returning to theaters August to September 2026 (schedule and more)
“Harry Potter” movies — all eight of them — will return to theaters nationwide to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the franchise. With tickets now on sale at select theater chains, fans can officially begin planning their return to Hogwarts.
Warner Bros. has confirmed that all eight “Harry Potter” films will return to theaters during the anniversary celebration, not just “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” The screenings will be part of the annual Back to Hogwarts celebration, with participating theaters expected to feature additional themed experiences.
Regal Cinemas has revealed its full “Back to Hogwarts” screening schedule. Exact schedules and participating locations will vary by market.

The theatrical rerelease comes as the Wizarding World expands into the holiday season with a new “Harry Potter”-themed ICE! experience at Gaylord Texan.
‘Harry Potter’ movies back in theaters
Accio movie marathon! The entire series of Warner Bros. “Harry Potter” movies is returning to movie theaters globally from Aug. 27 – Sept. 3, 2026.
The engagement commemorates the 25th anniversary of the first film in the series, which originally debuted in theaters on Nov. 16, 2001. In fact, that movie, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” will screen with 10 minutes of extra behind-the-scenes footage during its 2026 movie theater re-release.

Regal’s “Back to Hogwarts” screening schedule
Regal Cinemas will screen one “Harry Potter” film each day as part of its “Back to Hogwarts” celebration from Aug. 25 through Sept. 1:
Aug. 25: “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”
Aug. 26: “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”
Aug. 27: “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”
Aug. 28: “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”
Aug. 29: “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”
Aug. 30: “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”
Aug. 31: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1”
Sept. 1: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2”
Regal’s schedule begins two days ahead of Warner Bros.’ previously announced global Aug. 27–Sept. 3 anniversary window, giving fans an opportunity to experience the entire saga over eight consecutive
The marathon dates align with Sept. 1, or “Back to Hogwarts” Day, annually recognized by Warner Bros. with various promotions and activations as the date Hogwarts students return to school each year.

- “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” (2001)
- “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” (2002)
- “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” (2004)
- “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” (2005)
- “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” (2007)
- “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” (2009)
- “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1” (2010)
- “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” (2011)
The theatrical re-release will also bring a new set of Harry Potter movie collectibles to AMC theaters, including several exclusive concession items.
‘Sorcerer’s Stone’ at Cosm
“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” will be presented at Cosm, the 87-foot diameter, 12K dome “shared reality” experience in Los Angeles, Atlanta and Dallas, in spring 2026. Los Angeles and Dallas locations have showings in May, and Atlanta in June.
Screenings with feature in-theater effects plus servings of Butterbeer and chocolate frogs. You can get a taste of what to expect in this Instagram post below.
Tickets are now on sale for some showings, with more coming soon. Los Angeles dome performances start at $75.
