Regal brings back Harry Potter-inspired Butterscotch ICEE
Regal is bringing back its Butterscotch ICEE beginning Aug. 24, giving moviegoers another Harry Potter-inspired treat to enjoy as the franchise returns to theaters to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”
The frozen treat previously debuted at Regal in 2025 during the chain’s “Back to Hogwarts” Harry Potter marathon, returning this year after proving popular with fans. This year, the timing comes as Harry Potter movies return to theaters.
Butterscotch ICEE returns to Regal theaters
The frozen butterscotch-flavored ICEE is topped with cold foam and caramel drizzle, creating a movie theater take on the sweet, buttery flavors closely associated with Butterbeer in the Wizarding World.
The Butterscotch ICEE will be available at select Regal theaters beginning Aug. 24 while supplies last. Regal has not announced an end date.
Harry Potter continues expanding beyond the screen
The returning drink follows another Wizarding World-inspired frozen beverage released earlier this year, when Cinnabon introduced a limited-time Butterbeer Frozen Chillattas promotion. For theme park fans in particular, butterscotch-flavored drinks have become almost synonymous with Harry Potter thanks to Butterbeer at Universal’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter lands. Regal’s returning frozen drink offers fans another way to tap into those familiar flavors away from the parks.
