Six Flags Great Adventure reopens Wild Safari and Savannah Sunset Resort for Spring Break
Wild Safari and Savannah Sunset Resort reopen for the 2026 season on April 3, 2026, for the Spring Break season.

Springtime means new life, and Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, N.J. is ready to go with a dazzling array of animals. Located in Jackson Township, New Jersey, Six Flags Great Adventure spans more than 500 acres, making it one of the largest theme parks in North America. The destination includes a major thrill park, the Wild Safari experience, and Hurricane Harbor water park.
Wild Safari Drive-Thru Adventure is the place to see animals
Wild Safari, one of the largest safari experiences outside of Africa, is home to more than 1,200 animals from six continents and gives guests an up-close look at wildlife in expansive, naturalistic habitats. Nearby, Wild Safari Base Camp reopens April 3 as a standalone experience at the main entrance, featuring animal encounters, educational presentations, and interactive exhibits designed to deepen guests’ connection to wildlife.

Continued enhancements across the park
The 2026 season also brings continued investment across Six Flags Great Adventure, including Shoreline Pier, a key addition to the park’s ongoing Boardwalk transformation. This reimagined area will introduce five attractions along with new dining and retail experiences inspired by the energy and nostalgia of classic seaside destinations. Shoreline Pier is expected to debut in late spring, with construction currently underway.
Elsewhere in the park, guests can expect ongoing improvements focused on ride experience, connectivity, and dining. Updates include track enhancements on El Toro for a smoother ride, expanded park-wide Wi-Fi for more reliable access, and refreshed dining locations with new menu options and upgraded amenities.
