Guardians of the Galaxy – Main characters

Star-Lord (real name, Peter Quill) – Born on Earth, he is now the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy who relies heavily on his snarky sense of humor, even in the worst situations.

Gamora – Fighter extraordinaire, this green-skinned Zehoberie humanoid is the fiercest female “living weapon” in the galaxy. She has turned her experience and courage into an asset, redeeming herself as a vital member of the Guardians.

Drax – Large, brutally honest, and with no ability to understand metaphors, Drax’s superior strength and combat skills are a huge asset to the Guardians’ missions.

Rocket – Genetically enhanced, this wise-cracking creature looks a lot like a racoon from planet Earth. He’s the go-to Guardians team member when it comes to all thing weapons and tactical.

Groot – If sentient trees could win awards for being lovable, Groot would take first prize. His species is formally known as “Flora colossus” (“giant plant”), and his entire vocabulary is limited to “I am Groot.” But that doesn’t stop him from being an integral member of the Guardians team.

Celestials – Cosmic beings whose power, size, and scope go beyond all human understanding.

Eson – A Celestial who has been watching Earth for eons. Over time, he has reached his limit when it comes to the course human history is taking, and he is on a mission to do something about it.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind – Cool places, terms, and concepts

Andromeda Galaxy – Located near the Milky Way, this spiral galaxy is home to the Xandar system.

Xandar – Home world of the peace-loving Xandarians, the paradise-like planet is also the capital of the benevolent Nova Empire governing body.

Terra – Literally translated as “earth” or “land,” it’s the term Xandarians use for the planet Earth, home to the Terrans (you).

Wonders of Xandar Pavilion – Epcot’s first “other world” showcase pavilion that is open to Terrans who would like to learn more about the Xandarians, their culture, and their technologies. During visits to the pavilion, the emphasis is on the commonalities between the two cultures. What could possibly go wrong in such a tranquil place?
