The Latin vibe of Viva La Música returns to SeaWorld San Diego

Viva La Música festival of Latin culture, sounds, and tastes will make its way to SeaWorld San Diego each Saturday and Sunday from May 7-22, 2022.

The family-friendly festival features live Latin music, artistic performances, and Latin-inspired cuisine in a celebration of Latin culture, along with the park’s rides, lands, and attractions.

Headliner bands are a highlight of the festival

This year’s concert lineup includes:

Anything for Salinas Band (May 7) – Check out these tribute artists honoring Selena Quintanilla, the late “queen of Tex-Mex.”

Poncho Sanchez (May 8) – Enjoy a combination of straight-ahead jazz, gritty soul, and memorable melodies from a variety of Latin American and South American sources as this Grammy award winner and Latin Jazz icon takes to the stage.

Mariachi Divas (May 14) – This Grammy award-winning, all-female group mixes American pop music with Mexican folk songs and traditional tunes.

The Outlaw Mariachi (May 15) – Mariachi sounds and classic American and Latin rock hits come together, along with romantic ballads and comedy, through this all-star group’s music.

Malo (May 21) – It’s all about the Latin Rock explosion of the early 1970s with this “bad” band, who will play their Top 20 hit, “Suavecito,” and more.

Corazón De Maná – This tribute band’s five “manáticos” play Maná’s greatest hits.

Guests can also enjoy a variety of music and cultural performances throughout the day at SeaWorld’s Zocalo Stage, located at SkyTower Lawn.

Concerts are free with park admission, and those who would like reserved seating can book it in advance for either daily show.

Viva La Música features Latin-inspired food and drinks

Check out the limited-time street food mercados, including:

Antojitos – Try all-new Latin-style snacks such as Tostilocos, Esquites, Vaso de Fruta, and Chamango.

Tacos at Baja Grill – Made-to-order tacos include chicken tinga tacos, carnitas tacos, and vegetarian plant-based tacos made from pulled jackfruit. Finish with a slice of churro cheesecake with whipped cream and caramel.

Nachos Y Burritos – Enjoy grilled carnitas or carne asada nachos, plus burrito options, all with tasty toppings. Fresas Con Crema cools things down with a blend of strawberries, vanilla, and cream.
