Canada’s Wonderland is a 300-acre theme park with more than 200 attractions located in Vaughan, Ontario. But soon there will be even more to enjoy as they add and 18th roller coaster and an attraction that will be the only one of its kind in the world. Both of the two new rides are scheduled to open in 2023.
Being added to the park’s already impressive lineup of roller coasters is Snoopy’s Racing Railway. This new family roller coaster will bring the park’s coaster count to 18. The new attraction will take guests on a wild railway adventure in Planet Snoopy, where the family launch coaster will accelerate from zero to 50 km/h (approximately 31 mph) in a matter of seconds. Your train coaster vehicle will need to journey through dips and turns trying to avoid traps set up by Woodstock and his Bad Seed Gang.
Another addition coming to the park in 2023 is Tundra Twister. This new ride will be the first of its kind in the world, introducing a new sensation of thrills for guests. Tundra Twister will soar high above Frontier Canada. It is a giant looping ride with rotating gondola arms that have guests spinning, twisting, and twirling 360-degrees, and upside-down. Riders will go as high as 47 metres (approximately 154 feet) and up to 75km/h (approximately 47 mph).
“We’re committed to providing exciting experiences for guests of all ages, and these two attractions are unique additions for thrill seekers and families alike,” said Norm Pirtovshek, general manager at Canada’s Wonderland. “The Tundra Twister will be a sight to behold, swinging and spinning guests high above the midway and nearby Yukon Striker, while Snoopy’s Racing Railway is sure to become a family favorite among our collection of children’s rides.”
