The Disney Investor 2020 event made for a historically big day for Star Wars and Disney+ alike. During this event there were massive new slate releases for Marvel Studios, the Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Animation, Pixar, National Geographic and Star Wars. Disney confirmed the names of nine new Star Wars series for Disney+, and the confirmation of the next big Star Wars feature film, “Rogue Squadron.”
With the massive success of the “The Mandalorian” on Disney+, and with Disney’s quality-first business strategy, comes the next set of Star Wars shows to Disney’s streaming service. “A Droid Story” will be a combination of animation and special effects storytelling by Lucasfilm Animation and Industrial Light & Magic.
