Coliseum of Comics collectables and comic book sale coming to Rosen Plaza Hotel
With a warehouse full to overflowing, Coliseum of Comics is debuting its first-ever “Coliseum Road Show.”
After the unfortunate postponement of three warehouse-based sales events this year due to the pandemic, Coliseum of Comics—the Southeast’s largest comic book buyer—will hold their first official “traveling” comic book and collectibles buying-and-selling event at the Rosen Plaza Hotel on International Drive in Orlando, from Oct. 16-18.
This popular “nerd community” sale features overstock, scratch-and-dent, and one-of-a-kind items at big discounts. An eight-month backup of comics, games, toys, statues, action figures, and other collectables, plus over 100 long boxes of back-issue comics, will be offered at prices designed to ensure the merchandise moves quickly.*
The event schedule and discounts are as follows:
- Friday, Oct. 16, 4-8 p.m. – Take 40% off of all items. Back issues of comic books are $1 each, or fill a box for $100
- Saturday, Oct. 17, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. – All items are 60% off. Back issues of comic books are 75 cents each, or fill a box for $60
- Sunday, Oct. 18, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. – All remaining items are 75% off. Back issues of comic books are 50 cents each, or fill a box for $40
Have genre-appropriate comics or collectables you’d like to sell? Comic expert and buyer Jack Copley from The Comic Book Bank will be on hand each day to look at individual items or collections and (potentially) make a cash offer to purchase.
With an expected attendance of more than 2,000 people over the course of the weekend, Rosen Plaza Hotel’s 10,000 square feet of indoor space is ideal for allowing social distancing while browsing. Hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the venue and tables will be spaced six feet apart.
Additional health and safety requirements are in place for those who attend, including temperature checks before entering the hotel lobby, mandatory face masks, and a one-way flow of indoor traffic, though visitors can browse each aisle as often as they like.
Rosen Plaza Hotel is located at 9700 International Drive, Orlando. Entry and parking are free, and all attendees are welcome to enjoy the hotel pool after their shopping spree, or have a snack or meal at the 39 Poolside Bar & Grill, Café Matisse, and Lite Bite Express dining outlets.
