Starfall Racers Coaster Train Is Here

Starfall Racers is comprised of two side-by-side tracks. Since this is the first sighting of a coaster train on the track, it’s too early to know if both tracks will feature identical trains or if their designs will be different.

Starfall Racers will open in 2025 as part of the new Universal Epic Universe theme park at Universal Orlando Resort.

With a purple hood, a white tip, star-covered rims, and cog-like objects along its sides, Starfall Racers will resemble a comet shooting across the sky. This will be especially true after nightfall, when the coaster train itself will illuminate with show lighting (as opposed to the track being lit, which it won’t be).

Riders will sit in pairs, with a lap bar restraint for each guest. Each train features 10 rows, which will total 20 riders per dispatch.

Universal previously said the back of Starfall Racers’ trains contain a visual reference to “Back to the Future.” Currently, a shiny, silver circle sits positioned in the center of the back of the coaster’s final row, with a multi-toned blue rectangle above it.

Starfall Racers Leads Epic Universe’s Progress

Both sets of track have been complete for several months. As a whole, the site of Starfall Racers is among the most finished areas of Epic Universe thus far, with grass and some theming elements already in place.

Starfall Racers Part of Celestial Park

Starfall Racers will be located in Celestial Park, the central plaza of Epic Universe from which guests will access portals to the park’s four worlds: Super Nintendo World, Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk.

The official description for Starfall Racers reads:

Starfall Racers — located in Celestial Park at Universal Epic Universe — is a dual-launch racing coaster that sends guests rocketing through the skies aboard comets in a race to see who’s the fastest of them all. Reaching speeds up to 62 mph and heights up to 133 feet along 5,000 feet of track, Starfall Racers will be Epic Universe’s most thrilling coaster experience with unique maneuvers such as the “Celestial Spin,” in which the two coaster vehicles perform an inverted crisscross while speeding through the air — creating an “out-of-this-world” adrenaline rush.
