The final operating day for the current Country Bear Jamboree will be Jan. 26, 2024. Disney announced the closing date on the Disney Parks Blog, along with a look at a new costume for Henry, the show’s host.

“We Hope That You’ll Be Comin’ Back Again”

Disney also revealed the re-imagining will include “a familiar tune fans may remember,” implying a song from the show’s current version (or its former extended iteration, or perhaps even its defunct seasonal versions) may survive the overhaul.

As previously announced, the new show, named Country Bear Musical Jamboree, will spotlight songs from Disney movies performed in bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, and rockabilly styles.

Country Bear Jamboree opened Oct. 1, 1971 — the opening day of Magic Kingdom and Walt Disney World at large.

More to Come in Frontierland

In the same update today, Disney discussed the construction progress of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, but did not provide an opening timeline. It’s still slated to open sometime in 2024.

Disney also teased “more announcements about Frontierland” for the future.

Country Bear Jamboree is one of several Disney theme park attractions closing in 2024. Conversely, Country Bear Musical Jamboree is one of over 80 attractions opening at parks worldwide this year. Read more in our previous stories.
