Medieval hotel with 60-foot dragon planned for Wisconsin
Dellshire Resort, a medieval-themed hotel complex, is planned for Wisconsin with a mixed-reality adventure and water activities.
Correction, Jan. 28: Representatives of Dellshire reached out to clarify there will be no rides at the resort as initially announced.
The hotel is planned to open in late spring 2026 in Wisconsin Dells, Wis.
A 60-foot-tall, fire-breathing dragon will greet guests at the entrance to the property. Inside, Dellshire Resort’s interior design and guest rooms evoke a medieval castle.
Dellshire is currently under construction, with the project being built by the Kraemer Brothers construction company.
Dellshire will host 208 guest rooms and suites, as well as five dining locations, pools, and meeting space for up to 280 people.
Guests will have the opportunity to play a mixed-reality adventure at Dellshire. Concept imagery (below) depicts players donning a headset to face off against a dragon and interacting with various mixed media and prop effects throughout the property.
Benchmark Resorts & Hotels, the company behind Dellshire, also says the resort will include 9,000-square-foot amusement center. It did not provide concept art for what to expect from that component of the Dellshire experience.
Wisconsin Dells is a city known for its water parks, such as Mt. Olympus and Noah’s Ark.
