Disney cast members recognized as mobile app cast compliments hit one million

Disney is known for high customer service and cast members going “above and beyond,” so while they regularly get emails, phone calls, letters, and social posts praising cast members, Disney recently hit a new milestone: one million mobile app compliments.

Cast compliments reaches one million mobile compliments

Less than two years ago, the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps, added a feature that allowed guests to leave compliments about specific experiences and/or cast members, and since then, over a million mobile app compliments have been recorded. To celebrate this accomplishment, Disney recognized some of the cast members who helped make that magic happen at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

“Being recognized for doing a great job gives me a heartwarming feeling,” said Remington Davis, a security host at the Disneyland Resort. “When you enjoy what you do, it’s not work, and it makes me happy to know that I am bringing joy to someone’s day. I like to greet guests with a smile, give them a high-five and welcome them to the resort.”

  1. I love that they’ve made it easier – sometimes I don’t want to wait in line at Town Hall, and I never really knew where to give compliments for the resorts.

My issue is that there’s no “other” or way to leave details. The options are pretty restrictive both for locations and for details. For example my friend had splurged for a Polar Patio at Blizzard Beach and we loved our attendant. We tried to leave a comment at Guest Services but they said to use the app. In the app, Polar Patio wasn’t an option, and you had to pick something, so I think we picked dining since she picked up our food? Would have liked to be able to say more about what made her stand out.
