Disney Cruise Line announces 16 films to be represented in Disney Wish’s 1923 restaurant

Disney Cruise Line continues to reveal new details about dining experiences coming to the Disney Wish, the fleet’s new ship setting sail summer 2022. On Oct. 25, Disney revealed new details and shared a first look at some sample menu items for the three restaurants that will be a part of the ship’s rotational dining concept. Two of the restaurants will feature interactive dining experiences — Avengers: Quantum Encounter and Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure — while the third, 1923, will offer a more traditional dining experience, but with plenty of Disney details around every corner to keep guests entertained in a different way.

1923 celebrates the evolution of Disney animation and honors the legacy of The Walt Disney Company, founded in 1923, and its famed founders, Walt and Roy Disney. Two elegant dining rooms, named after each of the brothers, will be decorated with nearly 800 pieces of artwork, 50 character maquettes, 24 multiplane cel set-ups showcasing Disney films that used the animation technique, props, drawings, and more.

Newly revealed, Disney has named the 16 films that will be represented in 1923, demonstrating the evolution from Disney’s earliest fully animated feature film, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” to newer classics all the way up to “Frozen 2.”

Joining “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” and “Frozen 2,” 1923 will also showcase elements from “The Sword in the Stone,” “Bambi,” “Cinderella,” “Pinocchio,” “Fantasia,” “Frozen,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Tangled,” “Peter Pan,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Moana,” “Sleeping Beauty,” and “The Little Mermaid.”

A California-inspired menu will fuse the state’s international influences with local ingredients and a robust selection of Napa Valley wines. Sample menu items include Porcini Spiced Ahi Tuna and Fennel, Bartlett Pear and Tatsoi Salad.
