Disney Cruise Line’s Marvel Day at Sea to have new characters and entertainment

Coming January-March 2023, Disney Cruise Line (DCL), will have more Marvel characters aboard their ship, the Disney Dream, than ever before.

The Marvel themed sailing will embark out of Miami, Florida. Marvel Day at Sea is not new to DCL, however, with the addition of many new Marvel movies and Marvel Disney+ shows recently, their entertainment and meet-and-greets have expanded. There will now be over 30 superheroes and villains aboard the Dream.

Some of the new Marvel Day at Sea, characters include: Captain America Sam Wilson, Mighty Thor, Shang-Chi, Ms. Marvel, Ant-Man, The Wasp, and Kate Bishop. Many Marvel favorites will be returning as well, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Thor, Loki, Black Widow, and more.

Each sailing will have a day full of non-stop Marvel action, from live entertainment to shows to meet-and-greets, themed food and drinks, activities, merchandise, and movie/television show screenings. The screenings will play throughout the day in the onboard movie theater and on the pool deck movie screen.

Some of the themed entertainment you can expect during Marvel Day at Sea:

  • A Brand New take on “Heroes Unite”: This nighttime show will feature special effects, stunts, and pyrotechnics. You never know when a hero might swoop over you to save the ship from being taken over by villains, or from being lost in the multiverse.
  • “Strange Academy: A Spellbinding Spectacular”: This show will feature Doctor Strange demonstrating the power of the mystic arts alongside the Sorcerer Supreme Wong. In addition to Wong being added to this mystic show, Agatha Harkness will also make her debut to potentially cause some chaos.
  • Interactive Training Experience: Young recruits will be able to train and sharpen their super hero skills with Captain America Steve Rogers, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Kate Bishop. This will occur in the kids’ club.
  • Mickey and Minnie’s Super Hero Celebration: Guests of all ages can suit up as their favorite Marvel Super Hero or Villain alongside Disney friends for a party on the upper deck.
  • Adults Only Ravagers Dance Party: Adults can watch a performance by Star Lord, all while partying with the Ravagers in an adults-only area.

Marvel Day at Sea on the Disney Magic Cruise - Attractions Adventures

Marvel Day at Sea is not all action-packed Marvel activities. The luxuries, fun, and relaxation you can expect from a Disney cruise will all still be available, as well as non-Marvel DCL entertainment on every other day at sea.

Beginning this January, Marvel Day at Sea will take place on nine different five-night Caribbean cruises, which will feature various stops, including Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
