Details released for Disney Imagination Garden onboard Disney Adventure cruise ship
Disney Imagination Garden will be the central hub on the upcoming Disney Adventure cruise ship, featuring a Marvel stage show, a “Moana” restaurant, and balcony rooms.

Disney Imagination Garden on the Disney Adventure
Disney Cruise Line shared a first look at Disney Imagination Garden, one of the seven-themed areas of their theme park at sea: Disney Adventure. Because Disney Cruise Line acquired an already-under-construction ship, we knew this vessel would be different than all others in the fleet, and now we’re getting a sense of just how different.

Disney Imagination Garden serves as the central hub, similar to the Atrium or Grand Hall of other Disney Cruise Line ships. The scale of Disney Adventure allowed Imagineers to design a soaring, three-deck, open-air garden complete with a theatrical stage, two quick-service dining venues, and their first-ever garden-view staterooms.
Imagination Garden is ‘heart and soul’ of the ship
“Disney Imagination Garden is the heart and soul of the Disney Adventure, where our guests will interact with our Disney, Pixar, and Marvel stories in a whole new way,” said Laura Cabo, portfolio executive creative director, Walt Disney Imagineering.

The Imagineers were inspired by classic pop-up storybooks when designing an interactive space filled with landscapes evoking stylized paper cut-outs. Disney Imagination Garden is filled with foliage including flowers, topiaries, trees, and vines “growing” among traditional garden landscaping scenery such as trellises and twinkling lanterns. Close inspection reveals a variety of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel characters and designs throughout the garden space.
At either end of Disney Imagination Garden, the space is anchored by the Garden Stage on one side and a three-deck-tall storybook castle art display on the other. In front of the Garden Stage is an “open lawn” leading to a large staircase that doubles as amphitheater-style seating for guests to take in performances. Arches, tree branches, and hanging lanterns flank the staircase, and at the top families will find a garden courtyard (complete with a bar) surrounded by trees decorated with familiar animal characters. At the center of the courtyard is a “Sorcerer’s Apprentice” Mickey Mouse topiary, serving as the icon of the ship.

With the Disney Imagination Garden atrium comes Garden-View staterooms, a new room category for Disney Cruise Line. These rooms all have balconies for guests to take in the scene below, as well as the entertainment of Disney Imagination Garden. The Garden Stage contains a state-of-the-art LED screen that stretches three decks high. This screen will allow for special effects and theatrical tools to enhance performances in the Disney Imagination Garden.

‘Avengers Assemble!’ in Disney Imagination Garden
Disney Cruise Line announced a show debuting on the Garden Stage: “Avengers Assemble!,” an action-packed stage show filled with Marvel super heroes and foes. “Avengers Assemble!” is headlined by none other than Deadpool, making his Disney Cruise Line debut, adding his signature sarcasm and wit to the show.
Other Marvel heroes and villains included are Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Black Panther, The Scarlet Witch, Ms. Marvel, Loki, Red Skull, Taskmaster, and more. Guests can expect stunts, special effects, and humor when taking in “Avengers Assemble!” Details about other entertainment offerings on the Garden Stage will come later.

Mowgli’s Eatery and Gramma Tala’s Kitchen
Disney Imagination Garden will also feature two quick-service eateries on either side of the atrium themed for “The Jungle Book” and “Moana,” each including options for seating outside the restaurant with a view of the Garden Stage. As the Disney Adventure will cater to the Asian market, the cuisine in those spaces reflects those tastes.
Mowgli’s Eatery will serve Indian cuisine, including vegetarian and regional dishes. Restaurant décor will be inspired by concept art from “The Jungle Book” as well as Indian influences.

Gramma Tala’s Kitchen is themed around “Moana,” and is filled with Pacific Islander influences. Gramma Tala’s menu is filled with flavors found throughout the Pacific and Asia.

Disney Adventure sails from Singapore in 2025
The Disney Adventure’s maiden voyage from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre is set for 2025. Disney Cruise Line will offer three- and four-night cruises from the port for a minimum of five years in partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board. Specific details regarding itineraries will be announced at a later date.
The Southeast Asia region is a thriving cruise hub home to more than 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and Disney Adventure cruises are sure to highlight this cultural diversity.
