Disney On Ice debuts Zootopia 2 characters, Stitch’s Angel and Disney channel hits

A brand-new Disney On Ice production will bring a mix of new characters, fan-favorite stories, and Disney Channel-era music to arenas across North America. Disney On Ice presents ‘Spotlight Magic!’ featuring the live debut of characters from “Zootopia 2,” alongside the first North American appearance of Angel from the animated series for Lilo & Stitch, when the show begins touring later this year.

A new Disney On Ice show built around familiar stories and upcoming characters

Produced by Feld Entertainment, “Spotlight Magic!” is framed as a red carpet–style celebration hosted by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and Goofy. The production brings together more than 30 Disney characters across multiple story segments, combining classic films with newer franchises.

Among the most notable additions is a new sequence inspired by “Zootopia,” featuring Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde alongside the returning fan favorite Gazelle and newcomer Gary De’Snake. The segment introduces elements tied to “Zootopia 2,” giving audiences some special moments from the successful sequel.

Plenty of other Disney characters will skate into your heart, including:

  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Tangled
  • Toy Story
  • Moana
  • Monsters, Inc.
  • Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, Gazelle, and Gary De’Snake from Zootopia 2
  • Angel from Lilo & Stitch
  • Villains showcase featuring Evil Queen, Gaston, Maleficent, and Ursula

Zootopia 2 and Angel lead the newest additions

Beyond the Zootopia segment, one of the most notable debuts comes from Angel, the pink counterpart to Stitch from “Lilo & Stitch.” The character will make her North American Disney On Ice debut in a featured aerial performance, descending from a chandelier before joining Stitch in an on-ice sequence.

Angel is having a moment this year as she is also going to debut at the 2026 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

Disney On Ice productions often rely on established, classic films. Now, the inclusion of a new character like Gary De’Snake alongside returning favorites shows that new movies can have their Disney on Ice moments, too.

Disney Channel hits add a nostalgia layer to the soundtrack

In addition to its character lineup, “Spotlight Magic!” incorporates a soundtrack that spans multiple eras of Disney entertainment. The show includes songs from “Hannah Montana,” “High School Musical 3: Senior Year,” and “Descendants 3,” alongside well-known tracks from Disney animated films.

Disney Channel-era hits with songs plus hits from across Disney and Pixar films create a cross-generational playlist:

  • “Pumpin’ Up the Party” from Hannah Montana
  • “A Night to Remember” from High School Musical 3: Senior Year
  • “Good to Be Bad” from Descendants 3
  • “Be Our Guest” from Beauty and the Beast
  • “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” from Toy Story
  • “I’ve Got a Dream” from Tangled
  • “I Am Moana” from Moana

Add-ons and enhancements

Beyond the on-ice performances, the experience is designed to extend into the arena environment. Guests are encouraged to participate in a red carpet–style pre-show and intermission, with opportunities to dress up and take part in themed photo moments tied to the show’s Hollywood-inspired concept.

An optional “Magical Pass” upgrade will also be available, offering early entry, a character meet-and-greet, and commemorative items for attendees.

The new production joins a lineup of seven Disney On Ice shows currently touring worldwide, as the brand continues to expand its reach with multiple concurrent productions.

As “Spotlight Magic!” rolls out, its mix of upcoming characters, established franchises, and music-driven segments reflects how Disney’s live touring productions continue to evolve, bringing both familiar stories and new additions to audiences in cities far from the parks.
